Therapeutic approach
Hanna supports you in navigating the challenges of life by helping you to access your own internal resources and strengths. In order to create lasting change, Hanna believes it is key to get to the root cause of your distress. She will guide you on a journey of self-exploration to gain a deeper understanding of the origins of your belief systems, emotional needs and ways of coping. She will support you with processing and integrating painful and traumatic experiences and their impact on your life. Her goal is to assist you in learning skills to manage and connect to your emotions and recognise and modify unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, in order to empower you to live the life you want.
Hanna works primarily with a trauma-focused approach and draws upon a range of evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), inner child work and parts work (based on Ego States and Internal Family Systems model). Other modalities include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-based approaches.
