Therapeutic approach
Hanna supports you in navigating life's challenges by helping you access your own internal resources and strengths. She believes that lasting change requires getting to the root cause of your distress, and will guide you on a journey of self-exploration to gain a deeper understanding of the origins of your beliefs, emotional needs, and ways of coping.
Together, you will work through painful and traumatic experiences, exploring how they have shaped your life and the patterns that may be holding you back. Hanna's goal is to help you understand and resolve what is blocking you from connecting with your emotions and living in alignment with your values, so that you can move forward and create the life you want.
Hanna works primarily from a trauma-focused approach, drawing upon a range of evidence-based therapeutic methods.
Her core modalities include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), and inner child and parts work, informed by Ego States, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Schema Therapy.
She also integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other mindfulness-based approaches where appropriate to each client's needs.
Clinical experience
Hanna has obtained a wide range of clinical experience in public and private mental health settings across Australia and Germany. She has provided treatment to individuals and groups, ranging from treating complex mental health issues at inpatient and outpatient facilities of psychiatric hospitals, working with clients in private practise, counselling university staff and students, to facilitating workshops about mindfulness, as well as, coaching and self-development of employees in Berlin’s start-up scene. Additionally, Hanna is a passionate Yoga practitioner and certified Yoga teacher, which makes her acutely aware of the connection of mind and body.
